Meet NR SWANKS

Nikisha Reagan is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of NR Swanks Freight Brokerage LLC, headquartered in Houston, Texas. As an experienced freight broker, she specializes in ocean, air, rail, and truck freight, delivering efficient, reliable, and precise logistics solutions across multiple modes of transportation.

Since 2018, Nikisha has successfully coordinated more than 2,000 freight movements and has partnered with notable clients and organizations, including Goodwill, San Jacinto College, the Texas Workforce Commission for educational training, and 22 additional workforce agencies across the United States. Her clients and partners also include Stan Roberts & Associates, G.R. Birdwell, Harris Health System, and Helm Wood. Her strategic approach, operational expertise, and unwavering commitment to excellence have positioned her as a respected leader within the transportation and logistics industry.

Nikisha is an accomplished entrepreneur and small-business owner whose work has earned significant recognition. In 2023, she was named one of Houston’s Top 100 Small Businesses by Beyoncé Knowles’ BeyGOOD Foundation. In 2022, she received the Sisters with Superpowers Award from Rolling Out Magazine and Chevrolet, and she is also an active member of Women in Breakbulk. In 2021, MARPO ranked her No. 45 among the Top 100 Women in Shipping as a Master Freight Broker.

Her entrepreneurial journey and industry impact have been featured on the Truck N’ Hustle podcast, as well as in Voyage Magazine, Shoutout Houston, BlackBusiness.com, and the North Dallas Gazette. These features have highlighted her accomplishments and influence as an African American woman succeeding in a traditionally male-dominated industry.

Beyond commissioned freight projects, Nikisha oversees multiple business ventures, including an online distance-education school. Through her school, she has trained students at San Jacinto Community College while also providing training to previous incarcerated individuals at the Pam Lychner male state jail and the Plane State female prison. She also serves on the Logistics Committee for Community colleges throughout Texas, where she contributes to workforce development, educational advancement, and the continued growth of the logistics industry.

Nikisha is a Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt with a strong ability to implement Six Sigma methodologies to improve efficiency, quality, performance, and scalability throughout her organizations. NR Swanks Freight Brokerage LLC maintains the necessary certifications to conduct business with government, state, local, and federal entities, excluding the 8(a) certification.

Currently, Nikisha is participating as a sub-subcontractor on the Harris Health ( LBJ Hospital Project), which has been renamed the John M. O’Quinn Hospital. The new hospital is scheduled to open in 2029, further demonstrating her ability to manage major freight projects that support large-scale public infrastructure and development.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Nikisha is a devoted wife, mother of six, grandmother of nine, a current Harvard student, and a proud dog mom of two. She is deeply rooted in her faith, spending her personal time studying the Bible and continuously preparing for her next milestone in the transportation industry.
